Sea Girt Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Associates, LLC's is a specialty medical practice dedicated to full-service rehabilitative care.

Our mission is to provide highly personalized care on an as-needed or preventative basis. Founded in 2008, we have created a practice that believes in quality care that we would choose for our family members.

We are a full-service practice of dedicated, experienced physicians and clinicians who believe in working with our patients to maintain and improve their physical health. We work together to serve a patient population ranging from teenagers through adulthood.

Our team believes in providing comprehensive health care services to our patients in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We also believe in educating our patients as we work with them to achieve their best physical health.

Dr. Michael Dambeck

Dr. Dambeck grew up locally in Brielle, NJ. He attended Manasquan High School and then moved on to Villanova University where he graduated in 2000. He then attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where he received his medical degree in 2004. Dr. Dambeck completed an internship year in internal medicine at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ where he graduated in 2005. He completed his residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City where he was the Chief resident in 2007-2008, graduating in 2008. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Dambeck is the Chief of the Department of Rehabilitation at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He is also the director of rehabilitation medicine at Hackensack Meridian Subacute Rehabilitation in Wall, NJ. Furthermore, he has an active office practice seeing all types of patients from young athletes to weekend warriors, to people with pain, degenerative conditions, or neurologic processes. He also has a special interest in Osteopathic Manipulation and treats a variety of conditions with this technique including sacroiliac dysfunctions. Dr. Dambeck has also served as team physician for various high school sports.

When not working, Dr. Dambeck enjoys spending time with his family and leading an active life including surfing, fishing, martial arts, exercise, and traveling.

Dr. Steven Neuman

Dr. Neuman joined Sea Girt Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Associates in September of 2015. He did his undergraduate training at Penn State University where he graduated with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. He then attended medical school at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. This was followed by an internship year in internal medicine at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He then attended the prestigious Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation for his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Following residency, Dr. Neuman completed a Sports and Spine Fellowship where he received specialized training in interventional pain management, especially the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the ABPMR.

Dr. Neuman sees patients at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, many subacute rehabilitation facilities, and in the office. He treats a wide range of conditions from neck, back, and other joint pain to management of spasticity and other complications of neurologic disorders. He performs electrodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCS) and botox injections guided by both ultrasound and EMG. He also performs many other ultrasound guided procedures including joint injections and nerve blocks.

Dr. Neuman resides in Marlboro with his wife and 3 daughters. In his free time, he enjoys running, building things around the house, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Stacey Miller-Smith

Dr. Stacey Miller-Smith received her Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University in 1999. She was awarded her Doctorate of Medicine from UMDNJ-Rutgers Medical School in 2004. She completed her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation/Rutgers in June of 2008 and is currently working on her Masters of Public Health through Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Miller-Smith’s areas of interest include sports medicine, arthritis management, osteoporosis-prevention and treatment, scoliosis, and rehabilitation from neurologic conditions/injuries. Her treatments tend to emphasize exercise and lifestyle improvements. She believes strongly in keeping patients mobile and active despite underlying conditions. She performs joint and trigger point/myofascial injections.

While not working, Dr. Miller-Smith spends time with her husband and 2 children and enjoys running, hiking, nature, and studying effective altruism and public health.

Dr. Bianca Martinez

Dr. Martinez did her undergraduate training at Williams College where she graduated with a double major in Chemistry and English. She then worked as a research assistant at the National Institutes of Health prior to attending medical school at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. This was followed by residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Temple University/MossRehab. Following residency, Dr. Martinez completed a spasticity management fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where she received specialized training in spasticity and dystonia management.
 
Dr. Martinez sees patients at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, many subacute rehabilitation facilities, and in the office. She treats a wide range of conditions with an emphasis on improving quality of life and maximizing function such as the ability to walk and perform activities of daily living for patients with spasticity and dystonia due to neurologic conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, HSP, PLS, and many others.  She performs EMG and ultrasound guided botulinum toxin injections, diagnostic nerve blocks, phenol chemoneurolysis, and baclofen pump management.
 
While not working, Dr. Martinez spends time with her husband leading an active lifestyle and social dancing.

Kimberly Tallia

Kimberly Tallia joined Seagirt Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2018 after working previously as a nurse practitioner in gastroenterology for 4 years. Prior to that, she practiced for 6 years as a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center before becoming a Nurse Practitioner.

Kimberly is an Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.  She graduated with high honors at Monmouth University where she earned a combined Master’s degree in Science & Nursing and Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She received her undergraduate degree at Pace University in NY with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing.

Kimberly is affiliated with Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ, and primarily practices at various subacute rehabilitation facilities. She is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International.

Kimberly resides in Monmouth County with her husband and two children.  She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and traveling.

Jennifer Curtin

Jennifer is a Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Monmouth University. While studying, she was employed at Meridian Subacute Rehab in Wall as an RN. After earning her master’s degree, she joined Sea Girt Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Associates in August 2019. Her focus is on evaluating and treating inpatients at the subacute rehab facilities. She is in constant contact with our physicians and enjoys collaborating with nursing and rehab staff to deliver excellent patient care.

When not working, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, being outdoors, and running.

Jessica Kerley

Jessica embarked on her journey in healthcare with a strong foundation in Nursing, graduating from Seton Hall University in 2016 and obtaining her license as a registered nurse. With a passion for patient care, she honed her skills over five years on the neuro step-down unit at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Continuing her pursuit of excellence, Jessica obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in 2021. Joining Sea Girt Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as a Family Nurse Practitioner that same year, she brings a wealth of experience to her role. She provides compassionate care to patients at Jersey Shore University Medical Center and across various subacute settings, focusing care in pain management, prosthetic training and joint injections.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Jessica's roots trace back to Brick Township, NJ, where she was raised and attended Brick Memorial High School, graduating in 2012. In her leisure time, Jessica finds herself traveling and enjoying outdoor activities with her husband, as well as relaxing moments spent at the beach reading.

Maria Marzella

Maria joined our team in December of 2016 serving as our practice manager. Prior to joining us, she has had extensive experience working in both the acute care hospital and in the subacute rehab setting. Maria also spent the earlier part of her career working at Merrill Lynch as a client associate. 

Maria resides in Howell with her husband and 2 daughters. When not working Maria enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
